No FUSS IT is a managed IT and support services provider. It was founded by David Murphy in 2018 at the age of 25 to offer SMEs the same level of IT support normally associated with big companies but with a personal touch. No FUSS IT saw a huge surge in demand for its services during Covid so moved to Blue Pit Mill, Queensway, Rochdale in 2021. The company now has eight staff and around 130 customers.

Why Rochdale: As No FUSS IT’s customer base grew they found themselves handling more and more sensitive information so decided they needed their own dedicated office space. Founder and MD David Murphy is from nearly Castleton so eventually settled on Blue Pit Mill because of its close proximity to the M60 and M62. The company signed a five-year lease on 877 sq ft of office space in January 2021 and haven’t looked back. David said: “85 per cent of our work is remote but we get a lot of deliveries so good accessibility to the motorway network is vital. Rochdale is a perfect base for our business.”

No FUSS IT work with a range of clients, from sole traders to universities and healthcare companies. David said: “From a managed IT perspective we like our clients to think of us as their IT team.”

What next? No FUSS IT plans to double the workforce to 16 and wants to work with more Rochdale businesses. It has the space to grow at Blue Pit Mill and is increasingly supporting people to work from home in a Covid world. David said: “During the pandemic a lot of people bought kit to work from home but they did so in haste. We’re now doing audits with customers to make sure they have the right technology for their needs. We don’t see customers as just a number so as we grow it’s vital we continue to offer a personal service.”
