Langley
The Langley area of Middleton is receiving millions of pounds of investment
for modern, new homes.
The Oldham Rochdale Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder
is one of a number of projects that is helping to transform Langley from
an estate with low demand housing into a thriving and attractive area.
A lot
of investment has already taken place in order to improve the choice of housing
on offer, lift the appearance of neighbourhoods, enhance community safety,
make better use of open spaces and improve links to Middleton, the rest of
the borough and Manchester.
Developer Lovell is building dozens of new homes
complemented by Bowlee Park Housing Association’s on-going programme
to bring their properties up to the Decent Homes Standard.
Hundreds of properties
have benefited from improvements to boundary walls as well as new parking
solutions to ease congestion on the estate.
