Plans are underway for a £150 million new retail and leisure development in the town. Wilmot Dixon started on site in early 2018.
Completed in March 2014, the Rochdale arm of the Metrolink service sees trams arriving in the town centre every 12 minutes, enabling easy access to Manchester and beyond.
