Latest plans for Rochdale town centre’s new shopping and leisure scheme previewed
Residents have been invited to give their views on Genr8 Developments’ latest plans for Rochdale’s new town centre shopping and leisure development.
Following last year’s public consultation on the proposals, new layout plans for the scheme were unveiled by Genr8 Developments during a week long exhibition and consultation which was run by Rochdale Development Agency
Mike Smith, Director at Genr8 Developments, said: “We’re keen to get residents’ views on the layout plans and the type of retail, leisure, food and drink outlets they want to see in the complex. This feedback will help us to attract and sign up companies to the development that residents want to see.”
The exhibition also updated residents on other regeneration projects across the town centre that are moving on at a pace. Rochdale Sixth Form College opened last year bringing 1,000 students into the town centre, Aldi opened its store in November last year and construction is underway on the new Council offices.
