Kingsway Business Park Plot E Launch

The Kingsway Partnership officially launched the first five industrial/warehouse units on Plot E at Kingsway this week.  Senior property agents from across the Northwest were invited to the new marketing suite to preview the first buildings to be completed at the 170 Ha (420 acre) mixed use development.

Two of the five units were secured during the construction period by Vindon Scientific and Takeuchi Mfg.  The agents attending the event were optimistic about Kingsway's success.

David Brooks, Partner at King Sturge, commented: "It's a great strategic site, it's been a long time coming and I think the market is delighted to see it brought forward after all this time.  Because of the scale of the development it can accommodate a wide variety of business users from occupiers with huge requirements to smaller medium sized businesses.  It not only serves north Manchester and the Northwest but the transport corridor into Yorkshire.”

Mike Walker, of Colliers CRE, added: "Kingsway's a great site with a great location.  It serves the Manchester market but also the national market and will be a fantastic success."

The three remaining units on Plot E range in size from 1,828 sq m (19, 679sq ft), 3,188 sq m (34, 307sq ft) and 3, 113 sq m (33, 500 sq ft) and are now ready for occupation.

Paul Daye, partner at P3 Property Consultants, retained with Jones Lang LaSalle as development consultants and agents on Kingsway Business Park, added: “This is a flying start to the delivery of new buildings on site and the emergence of Kingsway as the region’s most important new commercial location.  There is lots of interest coming forward and we expect to be very busy over the next few months.”

Kingsway Business Park is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
